Annual Meetings of the NCSBA

The NCSBA holds statewide conventions twice a year, in the Spring and Summer.  In odd-numbered years, the Spring Meeting is held jointly with the South Carolina Beekeepers Association, alternating locale between states.

Special Events:

  • Banquet on Friday night
  • Silent Auction — Bring donations of beekeeping items or other useful things to auction. Proceeds go to the Apiculture Science Fund at NCSU Entomology/Beekeeping
  • New this year: Honey Exchange — Trade your Sweet Delight for someone else’s Pride and Joy. Here’s how:
    • Bring one, two or even three 1-pound containers of your honey (labeled according the membership-approved honey standard) and present them at the Honey Exchange table near the Registration Desk. You can bring extracted, comb or creamed honey, so long as it’s in a 1-pound jar and you are willing to trade it for someone else’s pride and joy.
    • Upon drop off, you will be given one ticket for each jar presented. The Honey Exchange jars will be on display all day Friday, July 8th.
    • At the morning break, on Saturday, bring your tickets to the Honey Exchange Table and redeem them for a different jar of honey (1 jar per ticket – first come, first served).
